ذ کا اشرف کو اکتوبر دو ہزار گیارہ میں صدر آصف علی زرداری نے اعجاز بٹ کی جگہ پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کا
پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کے نئے آئین کے تحت ذکا اشرف کو چار سال کے لیے پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کا چیئرمین منتخب کر لیا گیا ہے۔
یاد رہے کہ آئی سی سی نے تمام کرکٹ بورڈز کو اپنے آئین جمہوری انداز میں مرتب کرنے کے لیے کہا تھا تاکہ ان کے معاملات حکومتی مداخلت کے بغیر چلائے جاسکیں۔
چیئرمینپاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کے چیئرمین ذکا اشرف نے گزشتہ دنوں بورڈ کا نیا آئین آئی سی سی کے حکام کو پیش کیا تھا۔ مقرر کیا تھا۔
نئے آئین کے تحت ان کا انتخاب بدھ کے روز اسلام آباد میں پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کے اجلاس میں کیا گیا۔
چیئرمین کے عہدے کے لئے ذکا اشرف کے علاوہ لاہور سٹاک ایکسچینج کے سابق چیئرمین آفتاب احمد خان امیدوار تھے تاہم ذکا اشرف اتفاق رائے سے چیئرمین منتخب کر لیے گئے۔
انتخابی عمل کے لیے صدر پاکستان نے جو پاکستان کرکٹ بورڈ کے پیٹرن ہیں جسٹس ( ریٹائرڈ) مولوی انوار الحق اور سیکرٹری ایجوکیشن اور ٹریننگ چوہدری قمر زمان کو نامزدگی کمیٹی کے لیے مقرر کیا تھا۔
اس کمیٹی کے لیے کرکٹ بورڈ کی طرف سے نوید اکرم چیمہ اور محمد رفیق بوگھیو مقرر کیے گئے تھے

Demand for Gujjar History Inclusion in curricula in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu: A group of intellectuals in Jammu and Kashmir has sought inclusion of Gujjar history in the curricula of schools and colleges.
Tribal Research and Cultural Foundation (TRCF), an organisation representing Gujjars, said it has forwarded its request to the Union HRD Ministry.
TRCF secretary Javed Rahi said the federation has requested for inclusion of all rudiment factors of Gujjar Pritiharas who ruled in some parts of North India from the 6th to 11th century AD.
“Some important parts of history of Gujjar era are missing in history books prepared by UGC, NCERT ,CBSE and other boards. We have written to Union HRD Ministry for immediate intervention in the issue,” Rahi said.
Rahi said TRCF has requested the Union government to direct the publishers to include the significant facts related to the history of Gujjars.
PML-N leader Sharif Gujjar died in road accident
According to details, Muhammad Sharif Gujjar was going to Samundri from Lahore when a tyre of his vehicle burst near Kot Ranjeet. Resultantly it collided with a truck, killing him and his driver on the spot while two others injured. The injured were admitted to DHQ Hospital.
On information a large number of his relatives and friends reached Sheikhupura.
His funeral was offered on Thursday.
Chaudhry Muhammad Sharif Gujar was a close associate of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and former Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif. He was a PML-N candidate from NA-79.
Ch Sharif Gujjar served as the FIA Deputy Director FIA and had also been in the Intelligence Bureau
All Pakistan Gujjar Association
LAHORE – All Pakistan Gujjar Association has organised a seminar on the importance of education here on Thursday.
Former education minister Ch Iqbal Gujjar presided over the seminar while Akhwat Chairman Dr Amjad Saqib was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the association president Brig (r) Javid Iqbal stressed the need for unity and trust-building efforts among the people of Pakistan for achieving the collective goal of an educated nation.
Dr Saqib said every individual had to pay its part for creating awareness about education, which he said was the need of the hour. Tariq Masood Melo, Adeeb Javidani also addressed on the occasion and highlighted the importance of education and knowledge based society. They said that development could not be achieved without literacy.
